At Open Box we believe in giving back to the community. Every year, we support local charities with contributions in the name of our clients. In addition to this, our people have been deeply moved by the plight of orphans and refugees. In fact, they’ve organised a number of collections on their own accord that have resulted in overflowing boxes and hearts.
Naturally, it’s always difficult to select our annual charities. We try to take into account a number of factors that are important to us. This includes choosing local grassroots charities with low overheads to ensure that the contribution goes directly to the people who need it most. In this way, we ensure that our contribution makes a real measurable difference in people’s lives. We also give preference to charities with a long term vision for sustainability and independence, either in their own organisation or in the lives of the individuals they help. And finally, we look for organisations that focus on the subjects that are important to us: education, the promotion of healthy lifestyles, the environment, or the protection of those who cannot protect themselves.
