International TLAP Day September 2008

International Talk Like a Pirate Day may not be the most widely celebrated event on most companies' spring calendars... but some at Open Box took it pretty seriously. We caught up with project team Black Pearl to find out more about this special day.

The first two pirates we cornered were synonymous in their response of ‘AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR!!’

The captain, a somewhat chattier fellow, had the following explanation:

‘AARRRRRRRR!!!

International Talk Like a Pirate Day is the one day where the world recognises the greatness of us buccaneers by paying tribute to the wonderful language we speak. And it certainly was not a day that we were going to miss.

And so, it was with great honor that we, crew members of The Black Pearl and resident pirates of Open Box, hoisted our colors on the day. We were out in full effect, determined to show the world what being a pirate was all about.
